INTRODUCTION
Black History Month is a special time in which the Black Community looks into its history and reflects upon its heritage and culture. We believe this is a period that the Lord wants to use to tear down strongholds and make a difference in the spiritual climate of Black people globally. We need every believer in Jesus Christ to partner with us in a prayer effort focusing on the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of Blacks throughout the world. As you join us in prayer, it will mark the first time in history that the Body will unite to pray for Blacks worldwide.
STATEMENT OF FAITH
1. We believe that there is one God eternal existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
2. We believe that the Bible is God’s written
revelation to man and that it is divinely inspired, authoritative, and without error in the original manuscripts.
3. We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, death on the cross to provide for our redemption, bodily resurrection and ascension into heaven, present ministry of Intercession for us, and His return to earth in power and glory.
4. We believe in the personality and deity of the Holy
Spirit, that He performs the miracle of the new birth in an unbeliever and indwells believers enabling them to live godly lives.
5. We believe that man was created in the image of
God, but because of sin, was alienated from God.That alienation can be removed only by accepting through faith God’s gift of salvation, which was made possible by Christ’s death.
Position Scripture
1 .And I Searched for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand in the gap before Me on the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one. Ezekiel 22:30
2. And my people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land. II Chronicles 7:14
3. Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven. For where two or three have gathered together in My name, there I am in the midst. Matthew 18:19-20
4. First of all, then I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, in order that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior .
I Timothy 2:1-31
